I have always loved and played many sports, but basketball is my passion.  For three years at Denver East High, I played varsity basketball for Rudy Carey.  I was a starter for two years, had great teammates, and won two 5A State Basketball Championships.  Nothing compares to the excitement when I made the winning basket in overtime of the 2008 State Championship game. Now I have the thrill and opportunity to play basketball at the University of Colorado as an invited walk on.

I would not have the success that I have had without the influence of one person - Brian Howard, the owner of Basketball Tao.  Starting in 7th grade, I trained with Brian and his club teams.  Not only has Brian been a great role model for me, but he is technically one of the best coaches in Denver. His ability to teach fundamentals is unmatched. Brian elevated my level of play and improved my footwork, ball handling and shooting so I could compete and be successful at the high school level and have collegiate opportunities as well. The hours I put in training enabled me to be a starter my junior and senior years. Brian's drills are creative and challenging and they work whether a player is in elementary school or training for the rigors of high school and college. In addition, Brian is so versatile that he can relate well to six year olds as well as older, more competitive players.  My ten year old brother participates in Brian's classes and can already dribble and shoot better than I did at that age!  If you want to elevate your game and have fun at the same time, you should train with Brian!
